Tom Laing is extremely happy with the development of his singing career.
After a five-year break, he’s back in full effect with a hot new single titled Finally Free. The song that was recorded at his Top Tier recording studio is currently blowing up FM radio.
“I took a much-needed break to build my studio and work on other important aspects of my career. It was a bit hard at first to take the break, but it was worth it. I now have a very good recording studio to work in and I also have a good production team which is headed by Donny Marshall,” said the artiste.
The affable singer recently topped the New York Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Chart. The song is also doing well on the South Florida version of the chart where it peaked at number four a few weeks ago.
Finally Free is currently sitting in the number-eight position of the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart.
“Finally Free is doing extremely well, it’s getting a lot of airplay all over the world. It’s also doing well on the charts. People have a genuine love for this song and the radio DJs love it too,” said Laing.
Finally Free is the first song that Tom Laing has released since he returned to the business. The song was produced by top-flight musician/producer Donny Marshall, who previously worked with legendary reggae producers King Jammys and Jack Scorpio.
The video for Finally Free is also doing well, it is enjoying strong rotation on HYPE TV, RE TV, E Plus and CVM Plus.
Tom Laing is currently working on a number of projects, including the re-recording of some of his previous releases such as Heavy Load, Belly Of The Beast, If You Feel The Vibes and Come Back Home.
“Those songs were good lyrically, but the production wasn’t as strong as it should be, so we are doing them over.”
He is also getting ready to release a number of new singles, including Top Tier and One More Thing.
“I’m gonna drop a couple new tracks soon. you know the fans are requesting more music so I have to please them by delivering some more good tunes.”
Tom Laing says the best is yet to come in his career.
“I honestly feel like what I have done so far in music is just the tip of the iceberg. I have developed a lot in terms of my singing, my song-writing skills, and my whole knowledge of the business. I feel re-energised and I’m ready to take my career to the next level. Trust me, I am going do my best to always deliver good songs for the people.”Tweet
