Less than a year ago I had the pleasure of meeting a young up and coming Jamaican artiste name Kemar ‘Timmy T’ Turner. At the time he was working on promoting his first single and music video ‘Touching You’ which was well received and featured on local radio and television stations.
His determination, hard work and good work ethics made it possible for Timmy T to work with a number of local production houses with positive results. He has a number of singles and collaborations produced by Iceburg Studios, Gesta Music, BJG Records , MadMedia House Records and Push A Yute Productions. His most recent single ‘Never let go’ produced by Conscript Records is set to be released very soon and work on a music video is presently underway.
Timmy T’s melodic sound and smooth delivery is a mixture of RnB and Reggae, giving him crossover potential to the international music scene. This had led to Connecticut based Production company ‘Cliffside Entertainment’ signing the artiste recently. They will also be producing his upcoming album “Long Time Coming‘ set for release in August.
Timmy T is a good example of the many talented acts coming out of Jamaica who have shown us that with hard work and perseverance, they can also blaze trails and follow the success that the likes of Romain Virgo and Konshens are presently enjoying on the international scene.
