Hilltop recording artiste Munga Honorable has released his latest mixtape, ‘Slapweh’.
According to the artiste, it was a mixtape that gave him his big break in the industry.
“I’ve always done mixtapes. I got my big break from a mixtape with the song Wine Pon It, so me and DJ Kitt came together and we decided to use the name Slapweh, because that is the slang that we are trying to push out a road,” Munga told THE WEEKEND STAR.
The mixtape features songs that have already been released, as well as remixes on the latest hip hop tracks.
According to Munga, there are also two special treats on the mixtape. However, only persons who download the mixtape will be able to find out what exactly the surprise is.
‘Slapweh’ also features collaborations with artistes Chi Ching Ching, Supa Hype, Gyptian, Political Peak and Jordanne-Patrice, and will also include songs such as Clean and Fresh remix, Weekend remix and a remix of I’m a Boss.
his own record label
In addition to a new mixtape, Munga also has his own record label – Hilltop Records. Since forming the label in 2010, three artistes have already been signed, Bastic, Sassy D and Mad Rhymez.
In addition to a new record label, Munga will also be hosting a talent search series for the month of July.
“We’re going to be having one month of talent search. It’s called Hilltop Sundays and Talent Search, and it will be held on the Hilltop lawns at Islington, St Mary. It’s gonna run for five Sundays, and the winner of the event will get to perform on the annual St Mary Me Come From show on August 5th,” Munga told THE WEEKEND STAR.
The artiste also recently premiered his latest videos, Party From Weekend and the Area 51 Medley at Mojito Mondays in Kingston.
Fans of the artiste can look out for him in Cayman and Canada for his Slapweh mixtape shows.
