Konshens rocks Portmore Seafood Festival

Konshens

DJ Konshens was an instant hit as soon as his vocals were heard over the microphone and the overzealous women and children in the crowd clapped and screamed at a stage show that took place at the Portmore Seafood Festival on the Greater Portmore playing field recently.

Konshens did a number of his hit songs, such as Do Supm, Gyal A Bubble and Bad Gyal, among others. Prior to and after his performance, ladies took photo ops with the dancehall artiste.

Reggae female artiste Ikaya, whose real name is Kadian Blair, also rocked the venue with her versatile lyrics and stage performance. She pelted lyrics from tunes such as Hard Way, High With You and Fly Away. Ikaya called a man onstage, and he blushed as she looked into his eyes and sang.

She also did Bad Energy (weh de mind conceive … you can achieve). The crowd loved her delivery and she gave an encore selection Ain’t Giving Up.

Ikaya had this to say: “I was well received; the reception was great. I’m working on my first album now. It is should be released in June.” She revealed that she will also go on a European tour in July.

The event was not short of drama as veteran Portmore entertainer Beetle Bailey did some comedic moves and lyrics which left the crowd in stitches.

Darrio, with the hit tune School Fee, also made an impact.
