INTERNATIONAL Reggae superstar Gyptian will make his debut at Studio 38 tonight, as Pulse continues its series of live performances and the second anniversary celebrations at the New Kingston venue.
In two years, Studio 38 has become entertainment central for a wide range of music-loving fans for its unprecedented musical offerings. Since it opened in 2009, Studio 38 has presented more than 50 concerts featuring the great Jamaican acts of our time. According to Pulse’s Kingsley Cooper: “Tonight, it’s Gyptian’s turn, and acts such as Protojé, I-Octane, Jimmy Riley and others are waiting in the wings to perform at Studio 38 in the coming weeks and months.”
Gyptian emerged on the scene in 2005 with the chart topping singles Serious Times and Is There A Place. In 2006 he was nominated as Best New Entertainer at the International Reggae and World Music Awards. Last year, he also copped a Soul Train Award for Best Reggae Artiste.
Gyptian’s other popular tunes include Beautiful Lady, Mama Dont Cry, and Hold You, which was remixed by International Hip Hop Artiste Nicki Minaj. Gyptian has four albums under his belt. He has tasted international success on the Billboard Charts, as the single Hold You with Nicki Minaj stormed Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, as well as the Hip Hop and R&B chart.Tweet
