“People think this came about because of my affiliation but a nuh suh, Gully Fridays a long time it a keep it nuh have nothing to do with Gully Side or Gaza, it was formed before Mavado form the Gully Side,” Boom Boom said.

According to Boom Boom, he is no stranger to Hype TV because he got gigs at the station as a regular selector.

“I played at Up and Live TV show regular and now they finally decided to give me my own slot on Gully Fridays,” Boom Boom said.

The self-proclaimed king of the street says that the recent career development marks a bold step.

“It feels wonderful to be making a step into the corporate arena as a youth that grew up in the ghetto, to see that people can look up to me because I am making positive progress,” he continued.

“It’s a good experience, people are seeing me all over the world and getting a chance to see me live plus my fan base is expanding,” Boom Boom said.

Boom Boom revealed that his set will see him delivering clean dancehall music in his usual performance element.

“I bring the street vibe to Gully Fridays, delivering hard-core dancehall vibe and it’s clean so the little kids can watch and enjoy it,” he said.

Gully Fridays is aired on Hype TV on Fridays starting at 8:40 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.
